Sophie - Immaterial Album Promos

For this project, I wanted to translate sound into image. The goal was to choose a song to promote a musical artist and to design a series of images that convey the same feeling of the song.

Sophie is a unique pop artist, her music features many aspects of distortion, sound of industrial objects and lyrics that show a glimpse inside her life as a transgender woman. The song I chose, Immaterial, checks off all of those boxes.

Instead of leaving it as poster series I decided to change them to promotional images for her single. I chose to use Spotify for its canvas feature while playing a song as it fills the whole screen with an image. The billboard is digital display you can see in any major city, perfect for digital noise of the song, and her signature hyper pop sound.
