Synesthesia - Texture Editorial
In this Cross-media application the concept of an interactive sensory editorial is explored. Many synesthetes have associations with color, texture and scent while reading and writing. This editorial has three main components of these stimuli.
High color, depicted by a sheet of vellum organizing and revealing readable text.
High texture, depicted by sewn in thread outlining numbers.
High scent, depicted by olfactory senses when an individual comes into contact with an object.
Spread throughout the editorial is scientific research and individual accounts of synesthesia to give background information about this condition.
The main goal of this project is to understand the rules of this world and how not everyone is living the same way.
